How We Work

Learning and development are not all about the ‘what’ but also the ‘how’. There are 2 key elements that we focus on at A Propósito; a sound, research based framework for the work we do; an approach that is memorable and fun, inspiring the desire to create change.

Our work is based on years of experience and research in the field of learning combined with cutting edge, research based models for individual and organisational performance. The use of frameworks such as Emotional Intelligence, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Gallup’s work on engagement, ensures that the work is coherent and consistent even when working with multiple layers of an organisation and over a sustained period of time. It also ensures that for those who need it the work is referenced to the frameworks so that people can engage in their development at a deeper level.

The learning background also ensures that what takes place makes a difference. It is founded around the principles of action learning and adapted to the individual, team or organisation to see how it can best be made to work. The more that the development takes place within the working environment, and through conversations between managers and their teams, the more embedded the desired behaviours and performance will become.

If this all sounds a bit serious then style is key. Our work in the training environment is always undertaken with a spirit of fun and curiosity, using activities, coaching approaches and metaphors designed to create moments in which new doors open and different paths can be chosen. We see part of our role being to reignite people’s desire to develop and learn.
